Please be advised that, following the recent passing of Murphy Steel Fabrication Managing Director, David Murphy, the remaining Directors, Bob and Lesley Murphy, have made the difficult decision to close the business
Murphy Steel Fabrication is currently completing its existing commitments, with an expectation that the business will cease operations at close of business Thursday, 8 October.
Steel Stock Available for Purchase
As part of the business wind-up, we invite former customers, local businesses and other interested parties to consider purchasing steel and other items from our remaining stockpile.

Murphy Steel Fabrications has proudly provided high-quality steel fabrication and manufacturing to the North Queensland region, extending further to commercial and industrial applications, for over 45 years. Based in Townsville, Murphy Steel operates out of its premises at 41 Perkins Street. As one of the few local fabricators in the area, Murphy Steel undertakes jobs of all sizes, from residential homes and carports to larger government-scale projects involving infrastructure for schools and hospitals. Murphy Steel provides additional services such as the design of smaller projects, drafting, stainless steel and aluminium work, stairs, handrails, gates and fencing. With decades of experience, Murphy Steel is committed to meeting each project's highest quality standards.
